2.3 Social plugins
Social plugins ("plugins") of social networks can be used on our website. In our case, we use these for the integration of Facebook and YouTube.

2.3.2 Youtube

We embed YouTube videos on our web pages. The provider of the corresponding plugins is YouTube, LLC, 901 Cherry Ave., San Bruno, CA 94066, USA. If you visit a page with the YouTube plugin, a connection to YouTube servers will be established. In doing so, YouTube will be notified about which pages you visit. If you are logged into your YouTube account then YouTube can associate your surfing behavior with you personally. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account beforehand.

When a YouTube video is started, the provider installs cookies that collect information about user behavior. Those who have deactivated the installation of cookies for the Google ad program will not have to deal with such cookies when watching YouTube videos. Through the use of tracking tools we wish to ensure a tailored design and the continuous optimization of our website.

This website uses Matomo (formerly Piwik), an open source software for the statistical evaluation of visits to the website. The provider is the Matomo organization and its affiliated companies (InnoCraft Ltd., 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand).
Matomo uses "Cookies", text files that are stored on your computer and facilitate an analysis of your use of the website.
The information generated by the cookie about your use of the website is stored in a server in Germany.

The data stored by use for the purposes of the newsletter subscription will be kept until you unsubscribe from the newsletter and will be deleted after you unsubscribe from the newsletter. We use CleverReach as a mailing tool for the sending of mailings. CleverReach (CleverReach GmbH & Co. KG, Mühlenstr. 43, 26180 Rastede, Germany) is the provider of a service used to organize and analyze the sending of mailings. The data provided by you for the purposes of subscribing to the newsletter or at trade fairs and events (e.g. email address) will be stored on the CleverReach servers in Germany or Ireland.

Our mailings sent using CleverReach enable us to analyze the behavior of newsletter recipients. How many recipients have opened the newsletter and how often specific links have been clicked in a newsletter, among other things, can be analyzed in this way.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of your consent. You can withdraw this consent at any time by unsubscribing from the mailings. The lawfulness of data processing procedures already carried out before the cancellation will remain unaffected by this.

The data stored by use for the purposes of the mailings subscription will be kept until you unsubscribe from the mailings and will be deleted from both our servers as well as the CleverReach servers after you unsubscribe. Data stored by us for other purposes will remain unaffected by this.

2.6 Use of personal data for marketing and market research purposes
If you consent to the further use of your personal data for "marketing and market research purposes" then your personal data will also be used for such purposes. We will only do this if you explicitly consent to such use, e.g. by ticking a corresponding box for promotions on our website and then confirming or by providing your data at events and trade fairs.  We can then send you personalized marketing for our products or services or suggest participating in activities such as contests or product tests.  We will contact you for this using the communication channels selected by you in connection with your consent to contact, e.g. by email if you have provided your email address or by telephone if you have provided your telephone number or cell phone number.

As a matter of principle, we will not disclose, sell or rent out any personal data without your consent.

4. Period of storage of personal data
The criterion used to determine the period of storage of personal data is the respective statutory retention period. After expiration of that period, the corresponding data is routinely deleted, as long as it is no longer necessary for the fulfillment of the contract or the initiation of a contract.

For security reasons, and to protect the transmission of confidential data, such as queries you send to us as the provider, this website uses an SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the change in the address line of the browser from "http://" to "https://" and by the lock-symbol in your browser address line.
When the SSL/TLS encryption is activated, the data you have transmitted to us cannot be accessed by third parties.
All collected data is stored separately from sensitive customer data.
